Camel Caravan Amazon Reviewer - Finally! They just do not get any better than this. J. C. Ryan has triumphed again! Or perhaps I should say that, we, the audience has. I wanted to race through this book as I have been eagerly awaiting it since his last exciting instalment on the Rosslerite's latest world-saving activities.However, I forced myself to wait and savor each page as the story "worked each problem" to peel and reveal the solutions like the layers of an onion. This book was pre-ordered and did not disappoint. If I could, I would use that Rossler "time machine" to move Mr. Ryan back in time to write the next instalment so that I would not have to wait so long for our next book! Alas, I must close this novel and dream about what the future holds for our next president and his family. Whatever awaits them, I know this much .. . The Rossler family and their many friends will be able to handle it. I feel the future is in very safe hands.

I have sat and read no, consumed this last book. I know I've had a feast, not just dinner. I'm going to have to read it again as I'm sure I have not yet understood exactly all they did to defeat the monster of a man and his organization.
I honestly believed JC had walked them into a corner he would never be able to extract them from. When we last read about what was happening to the people of the Rossler Foundation, they were living in a cave and completely out of contact with the rest of the world. They were unable to reach out to anyone or anything, fearful for their lives and just doing what they could to survive.
All seemed lost and hopeless. How could they extract themselves and the rest of the world from the dreadful and dire situation the madman had plunged the entire planet into? It looked impossible.
There are not many writers I know who would be prepared goto these extremes. JC actually allowed the bad guys to win. By the end of the last book, 'The Sky Walkers' they were in control and there was little or nothing the Rosslers could do to stop them. It was sickening and frightening and very real - it is what could happen if we are kept in the dark about whatis going on in the world today and do we know? I'm not sure we do.
By the time I'd finished the last book I felt sure all was lost, there seemed to be no way out. JC had covered all options and there were none left, well not as far as I could see.
Somehow JC has pulled them out of total defeat and set them back stronger than ever.
What I love about the Rossler Foundation is they don't fight the bad guys with guns, grenades and kevlar jackets, there's no brawn, it's all brain, intelligence and nanotechnology. We learn what is possible when talented people come together and unite in their intent to take back the planet and free the people from the most awful and dire situations the monster has put them all in.
How they do it, is for you to read and enjoy as I have.There is only one shortcoming in the book that I can see - is this the last we will read of these remarkable and likeable people? Will we not know of any further adventures they may have; will they not discover yet another unknown civilization from thousands of years ago?
Dare we ask JC for more?
OldArcher Amazon Reviewer - Want to pass Indiana Jones? Try the Rossler Foundation, and it's intrepid men and women... If Amazon would allow, I'd give Mr. Ryan Six Stars for each of his works. Character development, plot, dialog- all plausibly integrated into great stories that capture the imagination. Not since Heinlein have I found as captivating a writer. I will be, like many others, eagerly awaiting his next works, for they are, indeed, addictive. When you start one of his novels, sleep is held in abeyance, and you long for the kind of purpose and adventure found by the people in his books... Read them, and savor them, as you would a tumbler of world class whiskey, a fine wine, or as in my case, a steaming hot cup of gourmet coffee... To those who can suspend one's"reality," and long for more adventure, "Cheers!"
I highly recommend J.C. Ryan's works...

- Reviewed in the United States on December 24, 2022Hindsight is often a wonderful thing when trying to apportion blame but prescience is a stunner. In The Phoenix Agenda it is hindsight that spurs prescience in a book full of surprises.
During the recent COVID scare the world in so many ways started to resemble the one world government portrayed in The Phoenix Agenda what with all kinds of wild rumours flying around of hidden forces at work to accomplish a similar new world order as portrayed here.
Rumours are just that...rumours. But it sure adds a new appreciation of the plot of The Phoenix Agenda and the role the Rossler foundation played when a one world government came to be and humanity became for all practical purposes property.
The best part is that midst doom and gloom it is heartening to see the human spirit often unflagging in characters you feel like applauding and even romance blossoming midst quackmire of a madman's rule.
I liked the slow progression of the plot and how the reader is led along with almost step by step explanation of the complexity of tackling a world subjugated by science and a previously hidden world order.. And the help found in knowledge from an earlier human cycle, the eighth cycle
Action and thrills there are aplenty so as to keep one turning pages with bated breath.
Thought provoking too.

Why! This series is not only an exciting read but mind expanding in it's many thoughts of the future. It uses the basis of past civilizations, of which this series claims we are in the eleventh, to portray stories of discovery, tragedies, everyday live and possible outcomes in the future.
The writing is plain and simple that has been proof read (one of the complaints of many books that they have not been ).
There are thought provoking segments and slow thinking segments. There are action segments but no boring segments, at least as far as I was concerned.
I give a four star rating where a four and a half might be more appropriate, as I feel that only a rare collection of books can really and honestly be rated five star. Of course, being we all have different and varied opinions, the ratings and what would be considered a five star will vary.

It’s hard to review a book without giving away parts that are important not to know. All I can say is if you liketo be thrilled and scared, read this series.

If you are reading this book, I'm going to assume that you have read the previous 5 in the series, because if you haven't, you should stop right now and read them first. It has been stated that book 6 is not a cliffhanger... therefore I am assuming that it is the last in the series. And it does conclude that series is a very definite manner.
You knew from book 1 that the Rosslers were going to save the world, so I don't think that this is a spoiler, that they do save the world. Their methods of doing so are all very high tech and maybe unbelievable to some, but not to me. There are always villains in the world. And those villains, if you look back thru history, have mostly been crazy people, who even believe that they are God. Book 6, The Phoenix Agenda, is all about one of those crazy people. Chips are implanted in people...that can cure diseases, eliminate the need for carrying any kind of money ever again, identify them, track them, and ultimately kill them. The book is a hit 'em hard while running book. I couldn't put it down. I'm sad that it's over. I'm glad that it ended. What's next, JC Ryan???

Had to keep reading until finished. It is a very thought provoking book and sobering in the thought that this, or something like it could ever possibly happen. The gadgets the Rosserlites come up with are amazing....loved it.
